ExperimentFM Must Move!

ExperimentFM's studios have to move to a new home, and we're afraid this may adversely affect some of our listeners. Can you help?

While we do not plan on any extended absences from the air, our move will change our coverage area, making ExperimentFM easier to receive on some radios, but more difficult to receive on others, depending upon where you fall within our expected coverage areas in Ames.

To avoid dropping cherished listeners, we're asking our listeners to give us a home!

That's right. ExperimentFM's transmission facilities are really quite compact and don't take up much space. But in order to be effective, we need a good place to broadcast from, preferably in the center of our listening area and somewhere up relatively high.

If you have an extra room, or an extra closet for that matter, and a window or a roof with quite a nice aerial view of Campustown or Downtown Ames, we could use you. Please consider donating your space to ExperimentFM!

If you know a person-- a tenant, a landlord or building owner, a business --who might meet this description, let them know about this opportunity to serve their community. We'd especially seek a place with reliable electrical service and very reliable Internet access available.

ExperimentFM is powered on a very light budget of listener contributions and volunteer labor, so we can't afford rent just anywhere (especially in this town!)-- we have to move where we can get a place. We're a transient underground operation, with everything we need to operate, including a home, provided by the community we serve.

Thank you for your consideration and your understanding! Stay tuned for more updates on how ExperimentFM's move may affect you.
